
Doomynation is a fast-paced platform shooter where up to 4 players fight each other to dominate the arena and kill their opponent with deadly traps.
Victory will require aggression, reflexes and strategy. Your gun can't kill your opponents, only repel them. So you'll need to buy and set traps to turn the arena into a deadly theater of war. Short on cash to buy traps? Don't worry, just push your opponents into your traps to earn money, or be patient. The public is there to see blood, and if to help you kill each other they have to throw you some in the middle of the arena... They will.
For this project, I worked once again on the landscapes and backgrounds. I was also given the task to animate the characters and create assets
The arenas


Here, the tricky part was to handle colors and contrast in a way that would make it easy for the players to see the assets and the UI on the screen, with all the infos about characters and the level designs. This the reason why the arenas have pretty muted colors and rather dark hues.
The traps

I had to keep shapes simple so we could distinguish any of these assets on the screen with all the informations. I used this reddish color to link all of the traps together and to add consistency to everything.
